Access Statement

Introduction
Pine Lodge is a mobile home situated in the large garden of the owners' home. Simple holiday accommodation for two people is provided at reasonable cost. Due to the nature of the premises it is not suitable for people needing to use a wheelchair indoors.

Pre-Arrival
• Access information is available on our web site www.pinelodge.info , in hard copy and large print upon request. The nearest railway station is at Westbury, approx 1.5 miles, where there are taxis available and bus services run approximately hourly to within 0.25 mile of Pine Lodge giving access to Westbury, Warminster, Trowbridge and beyond.


Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• Off road parking for one vehicle is provided with a gravel surface. From there a concrete path, reasonably level, gives access to Pine Lodge, approximately 50 yards distant. Lighting of the path at night is available.

Entrance
• There is a single step (6") into the entrance porch through a 24" wide door, a 90 degree turn and a further step up (6") to the living accommodation through a 26" wide door.


Living Room
The living accommodation is all on one level. The living room provides a dining table and three chairs. An armchair and a three seater sofa. A smoke detector with audible alarm is fitted. Electric heating is provided.

Self-Catering Kitchen
• The kitchen, through a 25" wide door, is fitted with normal domestic base and wall units, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge and freezer. Hot water is provided here and in the bathroom by a cylinder with electric immersion heater.


Bathroom & WC
• The bathroom / toilet is compact with a door width of 21". An electric room heater is provided.

Bedroom
• The accommodation provides a double bedroom with ample access to both sides of the bed but the door is only 21" wide. A smoke detector with audible alarm is located in the bedroom. Electric heating is provided.


Outdoor Facilities
• A private garden area is provided with table and chairs for sitting out. Access is down two steps (6" each) from the access pathway or by two steps (9" each) down from the bedroom.


Conclusion

As stated in the introduction, due to the width of doorways and compact arrangement of parts of the accommodation it is unsuitable for people needing to use a wheelchair indoors.
